Pete Drake was the father of Molly Drake and the ex-husband of DI Alex Drake in 2008. In 1982, he met his future wife as an adult who had awoken in Gene Hunt's World a year earlier.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Peter "Pete" Drake was born to painter Bryan and housewife Marjorie Drake in London in 1968. Prior to the year 1982, he lived on Stanley Road and was very fond of his black cat called Molly. Around the time of the robbery of his house, he had a "kind of" girlfriend called Suzie.

1982[]

In 1982 while at school, his house was robbed by George Staines who previously had a sex change to become Gaynor Mason. While his father was trying to prevent their possessions from being stolen, he was pushed and made permanently deaf after crashing into a table. Peter was contacted at school and sent home. While CID was investigating the house, he was approached by DI Alex Drake who protested about how he would abandon Molly as an baby. Peter, however, did not know what she was talking about.

A few days later, he attacked Gaynor with a brick after he caught her wearing his mother's necklace. Later that night in his room, Peter was approached by Alex, where she discovered his cannabis hoard and the necklace that was stolen from her mother. When Alex accused him of stealing the necklace, Peter escaped on foot to the streets.

After concluding the robbery investigation, Alex met Peter one more time in his bedroom, telling him to "look after whoever he may end up with". (A2A Series 2: Episode 5)

Later Life[]

In the late 1990s, Pete would meet Alex Price again. For him this would be the second time he would meet her, without realising but from Alex's perspective, this would be the first time. Eventually, he entered a relationship with her and married. Together, they had one daughter whom they named Molly after his black cat that he had in 1982 and Alex's great grandmother (A2A Series 2: Episode 8).

Six months after Molly was born, Peter abandoned Molly and presumably divorced Alex. However, his father Bryan comforted her in her time of misery (A2A Series 2: Episode 5).

In the year 2008, Pete was residing in Canada with his new girlfriend, Judy. (A2A Series 1: Episode 1)
