On 10 October 1981, barristers Tim Price and Caroline Price were killed in by a car bomb that was attached to the car Tim was driving. This event was a key point in Alex Drake's life and the reason she entered Gene Hunt's World in 1981.
In the course of her stay in 1981, the adult Alex discovers that the bomb was in fact planted by her father, designed to kill the whole family as revenge on Evan White and Caroline for having an affair.
