Pete cornered by Sam
Pete Bond was the main (originally unidentified) antagonist of Series 1: Episode 5 (Life on Mars). Bond was a Manchester United 'supporter' and football hooligan. In the weeks leading up to the Manchester Derby, he was keen to have a fight with 'City' hooligans, but none of his fellow United supporters wanted to get involved. In order to 'bring them round', Bond hatched a plan to beat up Colin Clay, a well-liked United fan with no hooligan affiliation, and blame it on the City fans. However, the plan went wrong and Clay died from his injuries. On the day of the match Bond was participating, along with his fellow 'United' hooligans, in a fight with the 'City' hooligans and the police, until he was cornered, taken down and arrested by Sam Tyler.
