Maya Daniels is Sam's partner and girlfriend. She's a tough and dedicated cop.
Although she was unable to get Sam to fully commit to their relationship, it is his love for her that is the biggest barrier to him simply starting over in 1973.
After a few months she decides to end her relationship with Sam because it seems he will be in a coma forever.
