  • This episode is an adaptation of the sixth episode of the British version of the series. The overall plot of Sam learning he is about to be taken off life support is similar, but the setting of the hostage situation is changed from a newspaper office to a hospital. The US version also adds Maya breaking up with Sam, an event that occurs in the sixth episode of the British series' second season.
