In the first season of Life on Mars (UK), Annie Cartwright was a Woman Police Constable. In season 2, she has been promoted to CID by Sam Tyler.
Although she has yet to appear in Ashes to Ashes, Annie Cartwright is mentioned to have married Sam Tyler were the "happiest couple ever seen."
